Looking for help getting a 1937 flathead running. The truck is new to me and has a helmet style points/distributor setup. Most of the wiring is missing and all needs replaced.

Gonna need a lot more to work with here. How long has it been since it has run? 6V positive ground or been converted to 12V Is it Pictures are worth a 1000 words SO any pictures you can post of the engine, engine bay, maybe under the dash....it will all help Us see what you have "exactly". There are a few sources for wiring harnesses, depending on how "original" you want to get will depend on the best source. Narragansett Reproductions makes fine "original" concours quality harness. YNZ's yesterdays wiring makes a good "more" modern harness as well as a few other. More info and pictures would be the best start!!!! FOR Me starters would be:
1. Send the carburetor, fuel pump and the distributor to CharlieNY here on the FordBarn up in NY and let him work his magic on those
2. Send your coil down to Skip Haney in Punta Gorda FL and have him redo your coil. $120 fixed and shipped back to you
3. Order a wiring harness
4. Change the oil and coolant

5. Make sure you have a "good" solid battery!!
6. Before you attempt to start the motor, I would pull all of the plugs, run some Marvel Mystery oil in the cylinders and down the intake manifold and let that soak in for a couple few days. THEN I would attempt to spin the motor over with the plugs out and do a compression check!! See what you get.

Those would be my starting suggestions.

Rockfla was so right on I can only think of one more on my own. Find a six gallon poly tank from an outboard motor with a squeeze ball primer and plumb that into your carb, eliminating the truck's tank and fuel pump from the equation. The truck in my avatar got a new fuel pump, but still has a 12 gallon boat tank in the bed after 2 years. Cleanest fuel ever.

I "could" be over in your neighborhood in the next two to three weeks. IF you would like I could maybe stop by. PM your info IF you would like.
