Flaathead Ted brake kit install

You mean like 39 hydraulics ,I have the prototypes but never went any further ,since the Lincolns are available ,Should I revive the development ,Ted

Absolutely go for it. I'd love to be the USA road test for a set. The Lincoln setup is just too expensive for a lot of us. My 40 would be my test case. I've been wanting to do something with the brakes for years. Come on Ted, you can do it!

Ted>>>I will see what I can do between doing steering boxes>>>

Thanks Ted!!! But how about doing steering boxes between doing Lockheed floaters instead? 8^) Jack E/NJ

Ted,

I have your kit installed and saw a little improvement, but nothing like you show in your videos.

I noticed you mentioned that the shoe material needs to be soft. Does that mean the woven fabric material?

Thanks,

Brad

I have Ted kit in 2 cars. The were a little hard to get adjusted i blame it on myself for not going by instruction. Now i would never have anything else they are great.

Here's some lining # NA3923 woven .NA3812 grey soft bonded, not sure if theses numbers would mean much to you ,Ted

Ted it would seem that there is a lot of interest. For you to return to this project could make a lot of guys happy and safer stopping.
I include myself with the people who would like you to take up the task.

Ted, why are the brake linings we should use with the mechanical energizer kit such a mystery. Can you give us the correct mfg. and their part # & where to get? Your direction to the FB Model A site and the search "whats good for a A is good for a v8" didn't find anything?
Thx

I looked at the Ham and that's quite a involved fit up I am hoping to do something simpler than that Lincoln set up ,I will put these through the dealers if successful ,this may need to be in the winter for testing ,
Brake linings The lining numbers I have given are good to use but I don't know if these are USA numbers , I will look into it and report back .What's good for a Model A is good for a v8 ,any search on brakes on the A site will give some useful info. Ted

Here's a picture of the linings previously mentioned ,These can be riveted or bonded ,Ted
