FLA Roadsters Annual Meet

Finally getting pictures posted from the FLA Roadsters annual meet. The day started off with my trusty '32 roadster letting me down. Rare for sure. Ten minutes before a few of us were to met for the ride north my electric fan wouldn't function. With no time to troubleshot it I closed the garage door and headed out. The upside was I got to ride shotgun in a flatty powered '32 tub. Not a bad alternative. We got to ride behind this '27 roadster - also flathead powered of course:

I'll shut up now and post the pics.

Of course not everything was flathead powered but I guess a hemi is OK. FLA Roadster's fearless leader Dennis' new tub.

There were also a few interesting lurkers on the sidelines:

Hope I didn't bore you with the pics. If you're in the neighborhood next November stop by for a great day of ******* fun.

Auwsome photo's . Maybe after I retire from this stupid job I will make the event. Is there a set date and place for the event each year. Thanks Tom

Great pictures! Nice to see all the flat motors. These guys are real engineers! Maybe some will join this winter's Barner's gathering. John

Re: FLA Roadsters Annual Meet Vic P

Vic,
Take the fenders and hood off your V-12 Z and join these guys.

Lee - sorry for your troubles with the roadster but it sounds like you ended up in "high cotton" riding shotgun in a really cool ride. When is this event BTW?

Oldford2 - I really like your suggestion to Vic - whadayasay, Vic? Possibilities for that "one off" look?!

Tom, you and John are a bad influence... I'm already thinking about installing headers on the V-12. The unit-body construction of the Zephyr prevents removal of the inner fenders... so, it doesn't lend itself to the hoodless, fenderless hot rod look. Vic

Nice cars, Lee. Maybe next year I'll drive to FL instead of AZ. I would have made it there, no problem. My engine lasted 2004 miles on the way to AZ.

Thanks for the pics. Any more pics/info on this T?

I like the grille...

Neal

Neal, it is a neat grille -severely reworked mopar product I believe. It's a T-V8 on a Model A frame with a Duvall style windshield and runs like a top. I'll PM you the link for more pics.

Tom - yeah I made out real well, Made telling the guys my roadster broke a little less painful. The annual FLA Roadsters (unclub) meet is held the first weekend in November in the Melbourne, Florida area - Indian Harbour Beach to be exact. Just remember guys, this is a 1936 and older open car event.

Paul, COME ON DOWN! We've got plenty going on all winter long to keep that AV8 hopping.
