Fitting a Zenith radio in a 40 Coupe

I have had an original Zenith radio rebuilt and updated. What do I need to install in my 40 Coupe. Any help/ advice would be most appreciated. Plan on using an under the running board antenna. THANKS

Use the roof antenna. You gotta use the antenna nut anyway to hold the radio in the dash.

I do not want to cut the body for the antenna. Is there another way? Thanks

Wasn't there an under the running board antenna also used ?

There was just the top antenna offered in 40 one for the open cars and a second for the closed with either Std or Dlx trim. Without the top antenna there will be an empty hole in the top center of the dash. The radio has just three mounting points two were used to pull the bottom of the radio to the bottom of the dash. The third is a special hollow bolt at the top which exits the top center of the dash. The original antenna has trim at this point to cover the mounting nut that is on the special bolt and the trim has a hole in the center to allow the antenna to enter. The trim is held in place with a plastic knob also with a hole in the center.
