I took the day off Friday and got the 31 registered and the YOM tags approved by the Maryland DMV. On a whim I decided to pick my son up from school in it , about a 40 mile round trip. Car did great on outbound leg, lots of thumbs up and waves from folks. The trip was mostly back roads with about 2 ,five mile highway stints. The car seems to be happiest at 45MPH. At school lot of ohhs and ahs and questions from his classmates. Homeward leg things went well, but I started fooling with the GAV , I think I got things too lean making it run hot ( per my father who rebuilt the car ) . I received a quick shower from the radiator, pulled over , let things cool down, checked things over to make sure something had not come awry . My wife came about 30 min later with a gallon of water , topped off and away we went . The rest of the ride was uneventful.
