Hi All, helping my brother with a 1929 model A. Vehicle completely torn down to the frame. Slowly building it back up. Engine is back together and he wants to start it for a group of relatives coming over this Christmas. Is there a check list I can follow to ensure all the settings and procedures are followed correctly to minimize frustration, and stubborness on the engines part? Thanks for any help. Tomorrow is a BIG day in his garage. P.s. I have taken some photos and will post them when I see my tech savvy daughter again soon. Thanks, Bob

To begin pour your last quart of oil down the dist. hole in the head to prelube the mains, check one of the threads for timing procedure.

If you are using the stock generator be sure it is wired to the battery
so it doesn't run wild and burn itself up.

After pouring the last quart, you may try pulling the plugs and cranking by hand just to circulate the oil. Did you use lubriplate on the bearings?

When driving or cranking an engine on the chassis with no body. I run a wire from the cutout to the terminal on the starter.
