Now that Ive gone through the 29 a bit would like to know what parts stores you guys use. I'm not doing motor work, more like window rubber, trim, step plates, interior parts..................that kinda stuff. Thanks.:)

I've had excellent service from Bert's AND Snyder's. I think I've ordered form all the other big ones but keep going back to the two previously mentioned. JMO

Hey thank you Sirs. That should get me started. I'm still pokin around the A Trying to learn so I can contribute to the forum. Really don't want to open my mouth on anyone else's post till I learn the nuts and bolts of it all. Thank you again for being so helpful.:)

While there are several good suppliers, Mike's A-Ford-Able Parts in Maysville, Georgia (toll free 888-879-6453) is my first choice! Great service, fair pricing, excellent in-stock percentage, very good technical information and quick shipping. Plus they are completely up front and honest. Try them; you'll like them!

I found a good local supplier in Ridgefield WA, Floyd's Model A Parts (360) 887-3346. I'ts a ma and pa outfit but good inventory for what I've needed, nice folks to deal with and you save on shipping.

Sam Guthrie @ Arizona Model A. No web site, but stocks all the parts you see in those catalogs and web sites. His prices are typically lower as well. Same day shipping. Give him a call... GREAT guy. 480-782-0266

Several large dealers like Snyder and Bratton's provide great mail order service but many repro parts are barely usable. Many areas have a small local parts vendor with fairly good stock. For a new comer the ability to visit a vendor with your part in hand lets you compare your original with current production and can be an invaluable learning tool. Many owners start by buying lots of repro parts assuming that new will be better only to end up replacing them later with original parts. Remember rule #1 - throw nothing a way.

I'm not trying to single out 1 Parts Supplier, or because I live in NY State. But order a Free Catalog from www.macsautoparts.com

They have the Best Catalog, with a view of almost every Part their is for a Model A. And Some Pages have Exploded Views of a Assembly, like Steering Boxes, or Brakes, and a lot of their Pages have Tips, Specifications, etc.

In No Way am I paid to Per mote Mac's, Because when I buy from them, I have to pay NY State TAX ............. From others out of state I save the Tax Dollars to put in the A.
