Firewall Insulator Panel

Now that warm weather is getting here, I am thinking about one of these.

I've insulated the inside and bottom of the floorboards with heavy duty bubble insulation and that makes a huge difference in the floor temp but there is still a lot of heat coming off the firewall.

I realize that you need to disconnect gas line and wires (and cut hole for manifold heater door). Other than that, are these difficult to put in? How do they attach to the firewall?

not sure exactly how they attach, but others have mentioed they have cut them in half (vertically), to ease installatioin

Whatever you are using, you can probably cut slots or cut out sections to get around any obstructions, then tape them back together with good tape (not cheap duck tape as it can't handle the heat - use the stuff that's actually used on ducts).

Think about how they cut ceiling tiles to get around hanging lights and stuff.
