The good glass fenders are nearly as much as steel ones.I don't know if any cheezo glass fenders are being made anymore.Years ago you could get them, they were always warped and bent all different directions.I have bought from Fibreglas unlimited,in ST.Petersburg Fla,from R&R in Tennesee, and have used Wescott bought through Snyders. They all require some fitting, but easy to do.The only problem I had was with the best quality ones, the Wescotts. They fit nicely on the rear, and after a week or so after painting them little bubbles started popping through the paint. At first I thought solvent pop in the paint, but I painted the front fenders, running boards, and aprons along with the rears and they were fine.I took them off and stripped them, the bubbles were coming out of the gel coat.A glass man that lays up boats in the area looked at them.He says it was the equivalent of solvent pop in paint.Trapped gasses were trying to get out.He said it could have been an improper mix,bad materials.temp.problems,and a number of other things.I let them sit for a month, epoxy primered them, and painted them again. They are fine now.I got no response from Wescott on them, but Snyders gave me enough of a credit to make it easier to swallow.I can honestly say that is the only bad thing I have ever seen from Wescott.I could have sent them back, but to box them up,take them somewhere to ship, wait for more, and then fit the new ones, was just not worth the little bit of work I had to do to refinish them.
