Fenton cast iron headers

Here is a pic of a friends French flat in stock configuration.I don't think he is going to use the exhaust manifolds. The oil pan for sure is getting tossed.Bruce Lancaster(RIP) got the intake ,governor etc so that is stripped off it.Shipping from here would be outrageous.10K pkg costs $125 priority air.from France to USA.

depends on your setup and which mould the manifolds came out of my fentons came thru speedway fitted fine and havent had an ounce of drama with them just my luck i guess

On my supposedly NOS Fentons on the left side manifold you can put both bolts in the center flange in from the outside of the manifold. On the Speedways I had the bottom center bolt was awkward to put in as it was behind the manifold.

Does your NOS left side manifold clear the dip stick tube?

Here are pics of the french manifolds

so that's where they came from!, I have those parts now..... nice to see a photo.

Tim , check with some of the older military parts dealers ,might find the manifolds, lot of that stuff came in years ago.

I have an extra NOS Drake 52/53 police left exh manifold for factory duals. PM me Newc

Well I just got these a few weeks ago the dipstick tube just touched it no pressure on it so I think a slight bend is all it needs. Seems there is a indent in the casting but it is back farther. Maybe better on a different oil pan? I have a 46 pan on this. Hope this helps

Just curious,
You "just got these"...... from where and what is this engine going into?

Thanks!

About the French manifolds; are the fasteners regular (3/8 and 7/16) or metric?

On my french block, the studs are sae threads in the block, and fine thread 10mm on the nut end. Don't try to remove the studs from the block, they are in there really good. Just get some 10mm fine thread flanged nuts.
In reguards to the Speedway Fentons, local fella had some and the 3 mounting flanges were ground way off... would never seal. Would take a hell of a disk sander or a mill to correct it.
