Fender Skirts

[rfitzpatrick]

Surely someone had them?

[GPierce]

There is a sedan in Oxford, AL that has them. I don’t have a picture of it.

[Don S]

I have them,I made them during Covid just to prove it can be done . Pm me your email, I will send you a picture ,

I have often wondered if any were ever made. Don't S, would you be willing to post the pic on here? Would love to see it!

[Doug Linden]

I took this picture a number of years ago of this Fordor with skirts. I have no knowledge of the owner for any information.

I believe that is Rainmaker Ron's 1931 Town Sedan, Peoria, Illinois. R.I.P., Ron!

He purposely put every original accessory he came across on this car. It seems to me it was somewhere around 75-80 trinkets he turned up.

I wonder where this car is now. It would be fun to see all of the accesories. Not for the "Purist" for sure...

The last time I saw Ron's car, it was so loaded down accessories that it was difficult to even SEE the car beneath. I'm not at all sure there was Model A under all those gizmos.
If you think there were a lot of accessories for the Model A back in the day, you should see the number of Model T gadgets! They far outnumber Model A accessories. Of course, the Model T NEEDED more upgrades than the Model A!

I have no idea who owns these Model A's with fender skirts. They are fascinating!

Here are the pics of Don S' car with skirts.

Skirts! WHY?

[Y-Blockhead]

I’m liking it, Don S. Good job. They change the whole look of your coupe.

Skirts! WHY?

Good point, were fender skirts installed just for the look or do they serve a purpose?

[katy]

Some people like the look of fender skirts, others think they're ugly. Your choice.

[Ruth]

I think the skirts on the Blindback in post #5 make it look "Classy". JMO.

[Ayers1]

I admit I like the looks of them. If I ever found a set I would definitely try them!

[Don S]

Thanks Steve for showing my pictures ,I made the skirts during Covid , just because A friend said Model A’s never had them , and I wanted a challenge. By the way ,my wife of 67 years doesn’t like them either, I put them on for car shows for fun,a lot of people thought they were an accessory way back when
