FE head gasket question

I am building a 406 FE engine. I am setting motor up at approx. 10.6 compression. I have 2 questions. Does anyone know the compressed thickness of the FelPro head gasket 8554PT? I measured the gasket uninstalled and it is .057 + or -. If my memory serves me correctly the FELPRO 1020 compresses to .041 but I recall there were issues of durability. How does the FelPro 1020 hold up now? Has it been improved? I appreciate any input.

I've never heard of any issues with a 1020 Fel Pro gasket. I run a 13.5-1 427 with them making right around 800 hp and never had an issue....
