Farm uses for the Model A

These aren't A's but I would bet more than a few A's were used this way. The sickle mower is great I wonder if thats an OSHA approved ROPS. American ingenuity ain't it great. The last picture says it all. Hopefully if you double click on the pictures they will show up larger.

Looks like a great show to attend.

I'm thinking with the blade and wheel spacing it might be for cutting down something like corn stalks in rows if the corn was picked by hand...... just a guess.

Here is another farm created AA. Used as a haysweep. Likely made in the 50's and used through the mid 80's.

BTW does anyone know how much of an internal difference there was from the TT Ruxtelle and the 1928 AA Ruxtelle? Rod

There was a n auction of an old Ford dealership insouthern PA. Included was a saleman's book for the Model A, the famous painting of Henry and near the end a rusty set of steel storage shelves. I wondered why the interest in the old shelves until I noted they were 6 NOS Model A running boards bolted togheter!

Model A's can do magic tricks. My 160B's favorite trick- making money disappear. Much more entertaining than when the government does the same trick.

There are alot of good usable parts if a person know where to look and what they are looking at. I wish this early 30 commercial tank did not have a dent in it. Likely fixable, but too deep to just puddy over. Rod
