Hey guys, I know this is way out of the usual here, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me the best way to get this off ?
Im thinking I need to make a tool to hold the back side pully, and turn the nut right ?
This is a 01 Ford Ranger.
Thanks ..

They have the wrenches at the auto parts places, might have them on the loaner programs. You need to hold the pulley tight, if you can't put the belt on now one of those belt type oil filter wrenches works. The threads are usually counterclockwise, should say on the fan shroud. I would try CC if it doesn't have a shroud.

5851a, thanks for the reply.
When you say cc, you mean like regular, righty tighty, lefty loosie ?

The one big nut on a clutch fan usually has left hand threads, meaning when you put it on, you spin it to your left, backwards.

Thanks for straightening that out, I'm a idiot. Should have said Left Hand threads instead of counterclockwise.
