What are your plans for this wreck, Bart? Looks like a parts car from what I can see. Unless you want to sink about $13K into it, then it can be a real head turner...and be worth about $10K.
It actually runs pretty good. The motor was rebuilt some years ago. Frame and all the under side was restored and painted. Body is not bad. Some bang up rust repair. I'm going to restore it. It was free. So I have saved money there.
i love it. I have been restoring mine all winter and im having a blast with it, Looks like a couple of grand and you will ber on your way. Tires and tubes are about $200 a piece another grand for interior unless you need new seat springs. give it hell and have a blast.
My photobucket ap on my iPhone makes them big. I'm thinking about two tone pain. And wire wheels. I got a bunch of wire wheels out there. But I am thinking like a Washington blue and black fenders. And black wires. I will have to get seat springs.
Decent body. Just enough paint to keep it in fair condition. What's gone is what's usually gone in a find like this. Mainly the top & upholstery. Spokes look OK in the pictures at least. Big +. It's a real nice find and the extras are sellable to off set the cost of restoring. Go man, go.
I don't think I will have to put much in it. I got a new top with the car. I don't know what condition it is in. It was bought about twenty years ago. And it is still in the box and has never been open. I will have to get seat springs and new interior and a battery. I will paint it myself. If I use the wire wheels. I will have them powder coated. In would like to put a chrome or nickel grille shell on it. And allso new tires and tubes. So I think I will be ok cost wise. The car was given to me so I have nothing in it.
