He lives in Arvada.

Nice. I'm up by Standley Lake and a piece of it can be seen in the video as that first stretch I am driving along side of it.

I used a canon digital camera in movie mode. I modified a $25 GoPro camera mount to attach to the glass. I did not resize the video it was almost 2gb in size and wasn't sure if it would go but it did.

Thanks for the info on the camera. I posted some video on You Tube that I shot with a high resolution professional broadcast camera (did not resize it). It loaded but the video is not stabilized when it plays back...

If it looked good before you uploaded it and looks bad once uploaded then youtube's software might be the problem. Maybe can try converting it to a different format then uploading. My camera is 8 megapixel maybe if yours is too high a resolution too much got removed during the upload. Could try to reduce the resolution then upload again.
