Maning many buckets under my compromized roof, watching the water flowing down my front wall, the winds greatly reduced about 4 am and went to bed.

Not much left of my bank barn, it's still standing, but blew at least 1/3 of the back off, roofs really opened up.

The garage is great, A's are good, Fordor has a wet spot on the roof, but not enough to do any damage. Never lost power, but lots around us did.

Hope you others did well!

Thanks for all the thoughts!!

Well, it was a bad feeling to look out in the yard and see three foot high waves with whitecaps where I had just cut the grass a few days ago. I was able to get a rope on my granddaughter's fishing pier just before the waves ripped it off its foundation, so if we get another flood tide this afternoon I'll see if I can float it back in place. The '29 business coupe body is under the carport and got thoroughly soaked, but no real harm done. Other than that, it was surviveable. Prayers and good wishes to those who had it worse.

glad you guys are ok . n.j. & n.y. looked like they took the big hit . hope all are ok ....

I live in SW Virginia and we have 10 to 12 inches of snow on the ground. Thousands are without power in our county. My cars are safe. We still have power at present. This monster storm is really widespread!!!

Got lucky this time, we didn't even lose power. A year ago during tropical storm Irene we were without power for four days. I guess all the weak tree limbs blew down back then.

We had a 4.0 earthquake a couple of days ago, nobody got excited, at least, we don't have to WORRY ahead of time 'cause we never know when it's gonna' ROCK & ROLL! Bill W.

Where are you located?

Still no power at home or work, trees and lines down all over.Running the generator just enough to keep the beer cold, gas is hard to find. Could have been worse,we are kind of sheltered in a valley.

Yes it was bad, but not as bad as the media would make it, unless you live on the coast.
A fair # of fatalities from tree limbs, but that's what hurricanes do. My electricity never went out and am 30 minutes east of Philly. Some of the coasts did get wiped though....
Don't believe this is anywhere near the devastation that FL has endored in the past.

I'm glad to hear your all well, I was in the floods in Iowa in 08 and lost one of my cars in the water. Very happy you don't have to go through what we did.
Todd

spent the day cleaning up, power has been out in the area for 12hrs now. a bunch of us got the neighbors 300 lb trampoline out of their pool it was wedged in the deep section. lots of trees down all over, repaired my roof soffit which blew into the back yard. our basketball pole bent in two,and the koi are shaken up. it could have been a lot worse everyone stay safe

I live on the Virginia Peninsula near Williamsburg, Virginia which is only a few miles from the Chesapeake Bay and Virginia Beach. We did not have the damage that was anticipated. It has rained here for the past 4 days and the wind is down to 25 mph with larger gusts. The weather man says we can look forward to sun and cooler temps tomorrow. Model A's are tucked in the garage and I am tucked in my "snuggie" reading and watching T.V.

WE are in northeast CT. Out of power, but have a generator. Lot of trees and wires down in the area. Lucky that we did not have the damage that the shoreline areas have had. harold

Pleased most come out ok given the damage, Our TV will show it tonight. Bill you are right with the quakes , just never know when one is coming , with over 5000 on the mainland NZ in 2years, Yes over 5000 . shallow ones so not felt 200 miles away from centre. But our turn could be coming. Least its early summer here, Our thoughts are with you folk over there,

We got the power back at supper time, so it was out about 24 hours. Got the internet back an hour ago. Lost some shingles off the barn, and part of my fence that hides the junk in the back yard came down, otherwise no damage. It's great to have the power back on. Lots of trees down and power lines down in town. earlier in the day 71% of town had no power. My son still has no power, and all the roads and state highways near him are blocked with trees down, locking him home all day. Things could have been much worse.

It is unimaginable what you all must be going thru'. Out here in Oregon it is "normal" weather wise (other than too warm). Good luck and care to those during this trying time.
I wish you all well and safe, including those cars.
