Factory 1934 ford toolbox ?

Thanks, they sound handy, especially for cars with a rumble seat, thus making tools and other stuff hard to get to. Anyone making repro boxes?

These Cowl Mounted Tool Boxes were not standard issue, as I have seen many Cowls that do not have the 4 holes drilled. My Green 1934 Ford Phaeton didn't have any holes, and I had to drill them, so that I could add a Tool Box.
Question - were these made by Ford Australia?

Question - Were these Tool Boxes that were fitted to some Australian assembled 1933 and 1934 Fords made by Ford Australia or some After-Market Supplier?

Trev, The cowl mounted tool boxes on Aussie 34 Fords as far as I have observed were standard factory fitting on closed cars only. Open cars were not generally fitted with them but I think could be ordered if required. I have not found any literature to date listing them as an accessory or otherwise. My 34 coupe had one fitted from new. Regards, Kevin.
