F100 steering box installation

Just finished loose ends from installing new Mel Gross f100 steering box.

Conversion was very easy. Did not have to remove clutch and brake pedals.
Removed and installed the boxes through the engine compartment and under the light bar with horn removed. Did remove starter.

Only thing I forgot to do was ream the holes in the frame for the new box. Bolt pattern off just a mite.

Steering is great now. Had 4+ inches of play. Old box had grease not oil.

Randy, Mel's son great to work with.

Hoping to make last local MARC club tour on Saturday, out first in out A. Job took me about 3 hours without assistance.

Happy motoring.

I just received my core charge back from Randy. Ditto for him being easy to work with. Also just picked up my second A, a 28 CCPU. Had to hire a shorter person to drive it home for me, but that is covered in a different thread.
