George and Pete thanks for your response to last thread. If I had opened package I would have realized it was 6 shims!
Pins are in, I used 2 shims on one side and three on the other, a bit tight but folks that did the reaming said bearing will crush slightly. What bothers me is the lock pins, the one on drivers side went well and stopped about flush with axle housing. the other side it went in much further to the point i stopped torqing on it for fear it might pull through! If that was'nt enough I cant get any grease in top zerk on that same side, im hoping after some use It will take the grease. I know they lined up the holes. Im thinking the ream may have taken too much out of grease tracks in bushings. Any thoughts, am I worried over nothing? Thanks Ken

I was missing the bolt in my kit and reused old bolts you can drive them in preety far, maybe hit with hammmer. If holes are lined up put a know good grease fitting thats what i did.You will never drive it long enought to wear them out.

Try greasing with the wheel off the ground. Turn the wheel all the way left or right and then try greasing it while in the "turned" position. You could also try a pneumatic grease gun, if available.

When you get through all your king pin installation problems, and the job was correctly done, you will be amazed how well the truck will drive.:)
