f1 king pins

Any one know where the one thin flat washer goes that comes in king pin set? I think I purchased the kit from lmc or macs. I have an original service manual for the truck and it does not show it plus when i pulled off the spindles there was no washer, just the felt and dust covers. Ken

I just did my 52 f1 and got about 6 shims about .015 thick.If you have any up and down movement shim under the bearing thats what I did and made a big difference.I got a kit from Speedway and was missing the 2pinch bolts and 2felts.

I just finished doing this with kit from Speedway. If your talking about the very thin shims use one or more under the bearing. You want to have about .005. clearance.
