I went and looked at a 1953 F-500 truck yesterday. It is going to the scrapper this week. I asked the guy to hold off with his plans for a few days. I am going to get the motor, column, some of the front clip. Does anybody have any needs? Thanks

Likely the grille, hood and the engine will be about all that is sellable. The wheel openings in the front fenders are quite abit larger than the F-100's. Not sure about the column, but am thinking it is oversized also. Rod

I should have written more the first time. After 1949, and up into the late 80's that I know of, with very few exceptions the difference between an F1 and an F8 was running boards and front fenders. Durring some runs the hood was wider on the big trucks. I have a '52 F6 with new F1 front fenders being built into an F1.

You might want to advertize that cab & clip around a bit. I've noticed a few guys putting them on a newer chassis. A complete cab like that might bring a few good $$$.
