F 100 wheels 15" or 16"?

What year did ford offer 15" wheels on f 100s and how wide were they? What was the last year the f 100 used the small hub caps, held on with 4 nubs, like the 40 to 48 car and half ton truck? Did the later wheels that used the small caps get wider? I have a 15" by 5" wide and a 15" by 5 1/2"wide that use the small cap.

I believe that the Ford FIRST offered the 15" wheel on the 1955 F-100,
and you could still get the 16" wheel, ( as an option ), untill 1965 with
the 5 x 5.5" bolt circle.
Also, the F-100 kept the "innie" hubcap mounting nubs through 1965 too.
And yes, they offered wider wheels, as they got newer.

From my experience, which involves a lot of hands on use of the '57-65 Ford trucks, I have found that starting in about '64 the F-100 wheels were 15 x 5.5" wide. The earlier trucks, '57, etc. had 15 x 5" wheels.. As "Lanny" mentioned in his posting to this topic, 16" wheels were available on F-100's through '65 on a special order basis.
I have parted out several '64-66 F-100's that had mixed wheel sizes, 5" & 5.5", all with inside cap knobs. Of course the mixed sizes is a result of replacements with little regard to the correct application.

My 55 f-100 had 16" wheels when I got it .Looked to be orginal .

A lot of the diehard Ford guys, my cousin being one of them, insisted on having 6.50 X 16 tires/wheels on their pickup trucks up through 1966.. My cousin was mad as hell when he bought a new '73 F-100 and had to settle for 15" tires... His answer was to take the 16's off of his '65 F100, putting the 15's on the '65 before he gave it to his dad.
Of course his '73 caps would not fit the early wheels so he drove the truck without hub caps... Hmmmm ? old habits die hard for some people.

Regarding your search for 29-30 sedan delivery floor info....

I have a friend that has a '30 sedan delivery... it is a street rod.. see pix
I can most likely get pix/info of the floor in his car.
