Um. The tubular rails on the bed make it look like the car that carries the flowers to the graveyard.

Yunno - precedes the hearse.

Weren't the tubular rails original to the Deluxe Pickups?

Looks like a clown car. It needs a longer bed or at least a longer wheelbase.

I think a better color scheme might help. The Service Car is an AA version of the Deluxe pickup with both a longer wheelbase and a longer bed. It used the regular truck closed cab.

To my eye, the 28 - early-31 pickup bed is too small for the regular cab. The late-31 wide bed is a little better and the Deluxe bed is better still.

Ford made about 300 Deluxe pickups with the regular non-extended closed cab. They do have the "flower car" rails.

This thread is not for judging standards nor a beauty contest but…
The roof line is not good; had it been more like a coupe. With painted metal over the doors and the top line on the back panel better
Lose the white walls
I sorta like the concept just not exactly the lines.probably started with sedan?? Door width looks so but not sure.

Hopefully, you now have more room inside the cabin

Just to be clear, the truck isn't mine and I didn't build it. I just find it interesting - kinda ute-like. Yeah, I think the goal was more room - having owned a regular closed cab, I know they're tight.

If we look at the pictures in the link, it appears the top is painted with that fake vinyl top stuff they sprayed on in the sixty.

Dunno what they started with but I agree on the roof line. The quarter windows are too narrow, almost like MoPar. It would look better with coupe-size windows but then the doors would have to be narrower. The vinyl(?) top doesn't help - full metal painted body color àla late-31 would be better. I'm ambivalent re the WWW - they're "flashy" but they do look more, well..."Deluxe." I do think the truck would look better with a darker color scheme.

Although I dont like it, I certainly appreciate the effort involved.

truth be told, I dont like Henrys rear bed version either. Flower car and death come to mind....

It looks like a new ‘22/‘23 Ford Maverick truck…. you know the one you can’t get fast enough. ;)
