Exhaust manifold droop

Further to my exhaust leak problem, The manifold is true but both ends droop about 1/8th of an inch. Checked my spare,it is identical. Looks like a new manifold is necessary to solve my leak. Any vender better than the others?

I believe one supplier makes all the new iron exhaust manifolds for all the vendors. I base this conclusion on their all having identical chaplet locations and marks. They are pretty good. At one time they also made new '31 manifolds with the reinforced bend at the rear. Every now and then you see one on flea-bay. Make sure you check the port alignment of both manifolds bolted together. The assembly may need a trip to the machine shop to be surfaced.

The new ones are made by Snyders, hence the S in the casting, but sold by most if not all vendors. They have an internal reinforcement to resist drooping. But if you want a heater, Jim is right about Autolites often being straight . And Mike is right about checking the fit on any set up...it's not at all unusual to have to surface them.
