Ethanol Free

My ethanol free gas station is less than 1/2 mile from my house.

Oh, wait, all gas in Alaska is ethanol free!

What makes you guys exempt:confused:

Also they are, well, sitting on crude... Wouldnt be worth it if you had to truck/train ethanol 1,000's of miles up there. Now everywhere else in the lower 48 is surrounded by corn.

Not sure what Hawaii has...

Wife and me went out to a wedding in Charles City, IOWA about three-years ago. Could never imagine how much CORN there was until then. Those people literally had CORN growing in every nook and cranny of ground. There were micro size CORN patches being grown as residential home front lawns and along side of garages. In IOWA, there is no doubt that CORN is king. Think that Iowa people actually eat all that CORN?

Sometimes wonder that if the earliest Presidential political voting events were held in say, the state of MAINE, then we'd have liquefied POTATO or perhaps LOBSTER in our fuel tanks. How about WISCONSIN for the first voting, then gasoline would no doubt contain CHEESE. Maybe a solution is to have politicians kick off their national election nonsense from TEXAS or OKLAHOMA so that oil petroleum products could be used for making gasoline. Now that would be radical!

I think we forget just how much the midwest produces sometimes. it's pretty amazing really. If that went away the world would really see how important it is. It is an area that is worked, managed to protect growth, and produces.

So now: I know this is a little departure to the eth rant.

I have a corn farm uncle and he was put up with the pressure of putting up a wind mill on his farm land. I can say he can do what he wants, but his thought was why would I put up a windmill that just pipes electricity to Chicago. My response was where do you think your corn goes?

Still not a fan of corn gas, just because it's not fiscally efficient yet and electric cars are just as toxic and aren't there yet. Something out there is just ready to be right.

agreed, as the saying goes the corn should be "knee high by the 4th of july".
