Ethanol free gas

About 70 miles north of Albany NY .... nearest non-ethanol station is 30 minutes away selling premium 91 oct for 60 cents more per gallon than ethanol containing 87 oct. Not for me. I installed suitably rebuilt carb and fuel pump, and use an enzyme-based ethanol dispersing additive in my gas.

An what would be a name brand of such an additive? And does it revert the gas back to 84 octane, and what does it do to mileage?

Here they usually get almost $1.00 gallon more but 1 man owns most of stations here.I think 4 out of 7 station plus the LP gas for heating house

@MRTEXAS
I don't believe ANY conspiracy other than it's in the Governments "best" interest if the fuel prices are higher as the taxes imposed both state and federal are based on a percentage, not based on the "actual" cost of a gallon of fuel. What I "DO" know is that both entities DO NOT want ANY kind of alternative fuels (or as most know and renewable/green fuels). Do not take me for a tree hugger....but I have two customers who have extremely viable fuel alternatives or ways to maximize not only the fuel but its by product and turn those into an energy source and one would be put in jail by the Federal Government if caught doing what he is doing and the second cannot get any funding for his fuel generating system. One is Hydrogen generating...He drove his car from here in Jacksonville to Miami and back on a gallon of gas and a gallon and a half of water!!!! My other customer can take carbon dioxide and with the use of microbes and gasification turn that into fuel, he can create 48,000 cubic tons of fuel a day....and cannot get anyone interested in his system!!!!

State and Federal tax on fuel is not figured on percentage. Its cents per gallon. They don't collect anymore money on $4.00 per gal. than $2.00 per gal. fuel.

...If it was all left up to the consumer to choose what they want, there would probably be no Eth in gas...

If it was left up to the consumer they'd choose whichever is the cheapest for them to purchase. The huge majority doesn't care if it has ethanol in it or not, since their vehicles are designed to use either without issue.

I think you're likely being fed some lines of non-sense by your "customers". There is a huge amount of interest in alternative fuel sources and production methods. If these are indeed viable, then they should have little trouble obtaining funding for further research into how to make their production scalable.
