engine vibration

Tom, you are the wizard of special tools and jigs; what is your solution to my para. # 4 above? dave

....and I too never met an A that didn't vibrate between 45-50....but (and no one believes me haha) that harmonic went away when I installed elctronic ignition (FSI)....go figure....
I just got my 1931 Model A deluxe coupe that needed complete wire job. That is done and after it did not start I read all you guys and thanks a million and now it starts, but at 15 miles an hour I get a vibration from the motor area. The engine idles fine and runs smooth until it revs up and then the vibration. I have timed it 3 times to make sure I did it according to the forum and Henry's manual. The carb has been adjusted according to the manual and know do not what to think.

My 29 Tudor was smooth at idle but vibrated bad at 15 MPH and above. Turns out the center babbit was completely gone and laying in the bottom of the oil pan.

Torque the rear main bearing bolts....Your comment about setting up a bolt...and how it feels to your arms is the only method I know of. I do not have a wrench that works magic in the limited space there is to work in.
And you are right...after many engines, your arm knows you are close on the torque.
Good Day
