Engine vibration

At that high sudden of a rev depending for how long it was. Is there a chance that he "sucked" the bowl on the carb to a very low point into pulling debris from the bowl botom and into the jets?

I had this happen on mine when I put a rebuilt motor in and it ended up being the carb. wasn't getting enough fuel to keep the bowl full. idling it run like a top, going thru the gears slowly it run good but when I started to climb a little not steep hill it would back fire and run like crap. I ended up rebuilding the carb and set the float to spec. and haven't had any problems since. temperamental critters they are. I'm thinking about naming my A five and dime as this thing is nickel and dimeing me to death

Plugs are also firing. I'm kinda leaning towards carb now. When I depress pedal swiftly to rev it, I can hear more sucking of air and no power rather than before it had a instant rev.

You say you have a vibration ???? What type fan are you running ???

If its an original it might be coming apart , be careful , find that vibration .

Try running it with the fee belt off, that will eliminate the fan and generator and pump as a source,
my engine once vibed bad and it was the original fan.

Not yet. I'm going to go buy a compression gauge tomorrow. And hopefully I can find a fitting that fits.

If you have an old take apart spark plug like a 3X or C5 champion you can use the bottom half as an adapter for the Compression Gauge.
