Engine Trouble

My 1930 Model A Engine is making this odd noise when brought up to speed. It idles pretty good but when the throttle and Spark advance are bumped up to a higher RPM we get noises  I have attached a video so you can hear it for yourself the sound at the end of the video (around :10 seconds or so) is what it actually sounds like in real life. ( There's a metallically rattling sound that is making me think bearing or something???).keep in mind this car is not moving when the video is taken. one last hint... you can hear this sound better inside the car than standing outside next to the engine
I have tried:
-retiming the motor
-adjusting Spark plug gap (all to around .35 which sounds the best)
-Checked compression around 60-65 in all cylinders
-played with the GAV valve which smoothed out the idol a little bit but still no luck at higher RPMs.

I hope someone out there knows what this could be because I sure can't figure it out!?

Thank you in advance!

Doesn't really sound like a bearing, did you check the fan and belt.
I wouldn't think you could hear an exhaust leak much sitting still without a load.

really hard to tell from that if there is a knocking sound, but yes it does sound like you have an exhaust leak. either at manifold or at manifold to pipe joint.

sometimes timing gears when they have an issue can rattle a little. You can with the engine running at idle take out the timing pin carefully and insert the pin as you would to time it but keep pressure on the pin. If the noise goes away it is probably the gear/and/or plunger and spring and if not it's probably not that.

Again be careful as the fan is near. Fix your exhaust leaks and go from there.
Manifold may need surfacing. If using the original as opposed to getting a new one check for cracks, manifold line up/droop, etc with a straight edge

I had a noise coming from the engine area, that no one could exactly figure out. Turned out to be the fiber timing gear....it had already lost several teeth.

A long shot. Ignition arcing?

Check coil wire connections and plug connections, didtributer. At night/dark, with motor running use a plant mister and spray around those areas.

Good afternoon...It sounds like an exhaust leak or an intake leak or a leak at the joint between the exhaust manifold and the muffler clamp. If it is not an exhaust leak it might be a loose spark plug...good luck...Ernie in Arizona
