Engine Tight After Installing Piston

Just wanted to provide closure incase anyone in the future see this, it was a bent rod. Bought a bunch of nos connecting rods and caps on eBay, found the best one put it in with the original shims and engine turns over now with the right amount of resistance. Thanks everyone that helped.

FYI that bent twisted rod can easily be straightened You need to find a machine shop that has the sun and rod gauge It's not that hard to do these model A. rods actually are quite flexible!

My previous engine was ruined because the bores were not perpendicular to the crank. It was professionally screwed up. Not sure how that happened. The piston pins made a mess of the pistons and scored the cylinders. Plus the rod bearings failed quickly. It is too bad because someone spent some time putting in pressure lubricated insert bearings. It went into a scrap pile. Someone bought it and was planning on fixing it with bore inserts and re bore.
