I was thinking about installing 2 tempurature gauges in my 37 ford. In hang below cluster Has anybody did this and is it nessary? Also what is the thread size for the sending unit in the head? 3/8 pipe??. Thanks Guys

I have not installed two temp gauges, but it is a fairly common setup used. Someone here on the Barn should have the information you need.

I running two temp senders/gauges on my truck and appreciate the accuracy here in the Arizona summer traffic.
Attempted to post picture and it was being stubborn for now. Chap

Mine is not a 37 but rather a 53 Merc, but the same basic principal. I bought them at O'Riley's Auto Parts. The temps seem to vary 3-5 degrees between the left and right head.

You don't need two gauges. Just run the wire from each of the senders to a toggle switch and then to your gauge. Just flip the switch and you can see what each side has for a temperature

Did this on a flathead that I had, worked great
