Engine stop leak

Is there a stop leak product like Barr's for an internal leak from a crack in a valve pocket. Looking for a short term solution before pulling the engine for the season. I plan to temporarily run no thermostats and no pressure as it is cool here in New England. Without thermostats the engine runs about 140 degrees. Thank you Fordbarners.

I've had good luck with some of the blown headgasket products. Used one on a 427 high performance BBC that held for years. They are not cheap though, somewhere in the $50 to $60 range I believe. The type I used required you to remove any antifreeze and flush the system, then install the product and run the engine for a specific period of time and then shut it off, etc. It was a spelled out procedure, but it worked. There are several brands of these products that are located at local auto parts places.

I tried that. Works much better stopping tubes on radiator, no effect on block. It will cure the running at 140 degrees.

Follow the directions No shortcuts. For the block sealer, after the required run time, you will need to let the cooling system dry out. Remove the thermostat housings (8BA) hoses, etc. and let it air dry. Use a shop vac to blow air down in the
heads - I just let it run for about an hour or so on each head. Let it air dry while
I was out of town for a week. Filled it and no more exhaust gas / compression leak.
(prior to this I installed new head gaskets, kissed the heads .005" each)
GM on this site swears by the aluminum Barrs leak. I used it too when I refilled.

Thank you Fordbarners for your response. I will use those two recommended Iron-Tite products and report back on how they worked out.

Checked into the Iron-Tite product "Ceramic Block Seal by Kwik-Way based in Iowa. No local distributors in the New England area. They did say in a subtle way to check with Moroso in CT. Moroso has a ceramic block seal, #35500 for non-anti freeze engines and another for anti-freeze as does Iron-Tite. Likley that the Moroso product is package by Iron-Tite. for them. It is available through Summit racing in OHIO. $15.00 for a pint, $5.00 shipping to Mass. Can't beat that. Thanks Fordbarners.

Blue devil @ our local napa store, best I have ever used I am running a small block chevy with a 8 inch freeze crack through the freeze plugs no failure yet !
