Engine specifications & tolerances ?

I'm getting ready to rebuild my first Model T engine and can't seem to find anything on torque or tolerances on any website or a book on this. The block I have is standard bore and there is no ridge or taper on the cylinders but it will to be bored since no.#1 cylinder leaked and it is pitted bad. What should the clearance be on the rod and mains? The caps still had shims and the babbit looks good. Is there any recommended torque specs? Do I add the dippers on the rods? Any recommendations other than going with the aluminum pistons?
I've rebuilt many engines in the past but this is different.

Buy the engine book from the MTFCA club. There is also a video set. These will be invaluable to you. There were no torque specs back in the day. Check out the books at mtfca.com

As posted, get the Club rebuild books and reprints of the Ford Service Manual, avail from all the Model T parts vendors, or the MTFCA webpage, that will assist you.

As for factory specs, here are a few on the engine, and a period ref. chart of Ford mfg service tolerances on wear, and when to replace when outside the spec.

Make sure you balance everything, crank, rods, pistons, transmission drums, magnets, flywheel, triple gears, etc. I have used 351 windsor valves which have larger heads and larger stems, so you just have to ream the guides to fit and cut the valve seat area instead of installing new guides and seats. Plus with the 351's you can use a modern keeper instead of the pin and cup original method. Please use adjustable lifters. I do sell new the books along with reproductions parts, but being your in New York, I am sure you'll buy them from the local large parts dealers. I do sell the mtfca books for $11 just in case you are curious.

Thanks for the advice, I ordered the books this morning and should have a better idea of what needs to be done.
-Farmallcub49-Didn't see your post before I ordered, just sent you a PM...Thanks
