Someone asked about engine weights the other day, so today I weighed
some of my parts. I'll add some more parts later after I weigh them.

Powerhouse generator with cutout and mounting bolt.......17#

I just weighed a Canadian powerhouse and without the cutout and mounting bolt it weighs 16 1/2 pounds. So, even though the case is much thicker than the standard powerhouse generator it only weighs about a pound more.

Thanks Tom for your time
Are you using an analog or digital weighing device?

For the lighter parts I'm using an older analog 50 pound postage scale.

For the heavy parts I'm using an older bathroom scale for any parts not listed in the restoration manual Ford put out years ago.

The other day Vince asked for the weight of a beavertail crank, but now I can't find that thread.
My beavertail crank with the timing gear, front bolt and aluminum pulley weighs 29 pounds on my 50 lb. postal scale.

we bought a new bathroom scale a couple of months ago. At the top of the scale it says 'MAXIMUM WEIGHT 400 lbs.' Never saw that before.
