Engine rebuild parts?

It's probably been discussed a thousand times but. What supply house has the best overhaul parts (bang for the buck) crank, pistons, bearing's ect ?

Most everyone has the best available parts for flathead engines. Some bearings come from overseas these days (ie KING bearings made in Israel I think). Pistons can be Grant, Hastings, Egge. I believe you'll do best connecting with a knowledgeable vendor who can work with you on the details. That is what we emphasize here. I believe we are competitive with all the others, but you can find good people out there besides us. The highest price might be justified in quality and service. The lowest price may result in buyer regret. Somewhere in the middle is ok too depending on what you need from the vendor.

When I was shopping for parts and prices, for my rebuild, I went with Reds Headers, for most everything. I know one thing, you can't beat Reds for backing up what they sell. I had a cam problem, which I didn't realize until 3 or 4 months later when I was ready to install it. Long story short they made it right, that is worth something in my book.

Good question. I to am looking to purchase valves, guides, adj lifters, pistons, rings, bearings etc for my flathead 8 that is at the machine shop right now.

MacVP won't blow his own horn but I had exceptional service from him. Had a problem with a purchase and after speaking with him about it he went overboard to fix it. Can't ask for anything more.

I really don't mind paying just a little more for good products and service.
