Engine quit running help

Hmmm, another one of life's little wonderments.

My thought was a frozen distributor shaft, but, apparently its OK. It'll probably keep right on agoin'.

Glad to see you got it running! You did a great job of troubleshooting your own problem.

As another member mentioned, put some grease on the shaft, and check head torque with engine at operating temp. Be VERY CAREFUL tightening the two bolts on the water outlet - that casting is known to break easily.

Thank you Ruth I will get a gauge at work tomorrow and check engine temp what would be a proper warm engine temp

My engine likes 170°F with the thermostat wide open. I have a 160° thermostat.
