Engine Number

Stamped on 10-1-1930. I think all the Model AA and A were equipped with the same pressure plate after Ford dropped the multi disc clutch in early 1929.

Is there any way to tell where a certain car was assembled by the engine/frame number?
No - If the engine is in the car and the frame matches and you know the body hasn't been swapped and the body was stamped at the assembly plant then you can be pretty sure where it was assembled.

Hello, some cars were stamped on the center body sill ,where the front seat mounted, with a code of the assembly plant that built it, I looked for one on mine but too rusted to see anything, but it’s a roadster that sat outside a long time. Do a search on FB , might turn up some old posts.Engine number is only when it was built, could be weeks before it was placed in a car , depending how distant the assembly plant was from River Rouge manufacturing.

In February 1928 trucks started getting the same clutch springs
as the car and AA was dropped for A on the truck engine number. In May 1928 the truck started using heavier springs again and AA was used in the truck engine number. In November 1928 the single plate clutch was now standard. The disc for the car was A-7550 and the larger one for the truck was AA-7550.
