Number on my enging block appears to be AZ125503.
Did some rearch and cannot find the AZ prefix anywhere.

Anyone know the meaning of AZ?

You might want to look at the font (shape of the letters) and see if the number was something stamped by someone in their garage. Any chance it was an assigned number from the state of Arizona? What does your title say?

Truck was owned by a person in Arizona for a number of years alright.
Wonder if they required a numbering system of their own?

Truck is at mechanics and he read the number. I guess it could be a 2?

Truck was sold to me as a 1930 model and the number on title shows a production date of Oct. 1930.

In that case it could have been Arnold Zimmerman the re-built it in the past.

Kidding aside it was not uncommon for a rebuilder to stamp his own number when he rebuilt an angine.
