I looked at an engine today with the number AA750805. Am I correct in assuming this engine was originally in a AA truck about December of 1928? It has the early pan and dipstick.

Yes, your engine number would convert to being built in Dec. 1928. The AA denotes a truck engine. AA was discontinued for a brief period from February to May 1928.

I believe originally the AA indicated the heavier spring had been used in the multi-disc clutch ?; some AA men can probable shed some light on this subject.
