Engine Mounts

Could someone tell me the differance between the early and the late engine mounts, and are they inter changeable.
Cheers Tony.

Of course every year (early) has different mounts that bolt to the front of the engine, so I guess your in reference to the rubber motor mount. The hole in the crossmember is smaller for the early cars larger for the later. The lower rubber mount is smaller to fit into the crossmember for the early cars. You can not use the later lower mount in the early car and the early style does not fit the later style properly.

Terry,

With respect, I'm sure you meant to say that the dividing line for your explanation was the '37 model year. Except for very early '32s, the upper and lower motor mount insulators were the same from mid-year '32 through the '36 model years. Some early '32 and all '35 and '36 upper insulators are used with a separate stamped steel cup beneath the upper insulators.
