Engine mounts/water pumps 49-53

All the same? Different between truck, car, Ford, Merc?
I'm getting ready to build my mounts for the 32 frame and want to be sure I'm OK with the old pumps/mounts I have. I couldn't tell you what I have. One set was supposed to be Mercury, but turns out it's a Ford engine, the actual Mercury engine I got came out of a school bus (busted block but using it as a dummy). Both sets have the tab with round hole for the motor mount.
I guess my concern is whether they are different heights, lengths etc. and how to spot the differences (if any).
Thanks!

merc and trucks have the foot on the side of the pump, wider pulleys too, cars use a pump with two holes on a flat spot on bottom, side of pump, narrow pulleys, i have two rebuilt 1953 ford truck pumps with out any motor mount holes or tabs, used one year (1953) a front motor mount was used then, ant body interested in them? $35 for the pair, plus shipping, p/m me if you are

Thanks guys. Yeah, mine are the side tab type.
Say, Bill. What am I looking at there? Do these mount to the frame rails, front cross member or bolt to the block in lieu of the waterpump mounts? 3/16 material?
BTW I have a home made frame, but followed 32 chassis blueprints. I fabbed up a model A-style front cross member. Just so you know what I'm working with.

They mount to the front cross member on the 32.

The 33 through 36 all used a bolt on front mount too but the 33/34 were similar to each other and the 35-36 both differed in some way and I believe all but the 32 used part of the mount as the water pick up from the radiator with radiator hose connections to the block. This was all in the days of the head mounted water pumps in the 21 stud engines.

I used what most guys use on AV8's...truck type, single belt pumps for an 8BA. I got mine from Speedway.

Yeah, no problem. I'm a machinist by trade. Thanks for the drawing Bill.
Is there any issue with engine rock with the mounting like this?
I had a 55 Chevy years ago that I put a later model SB and powerglide in. Mounted on the front and back only and the engine torque would rock it over.
I'm running a Tremec with the tail end mount.

OK. Just asking. Thanks.
Any advantage to those mounts over the waterpump mount? Just trying to get all the "angles". It'll be next week, when it cools off outside a bit. Before I start mounting the engine.

The advantage for me was that I did not need to fab a new mount to the frame; the stock 32 cross member already had holes there for mounts. And the mounts needed for the later pumps were going to interfere with the hood sides.

Ah, got ya. I've only ever had this car and it was modified in the late 40s early 50s. I don't have a stock or even near stock one to look at to even know what all has been modified. Then I came along and changed even more...
Thanks for all the help.
