Engine froze and want to pull head

Are the gears in these things Fiber ? I found one in this car. Looks old but maybe unused.

The 2nd from the left has rust in it, the far left looks like carbon or burned oil. The first 2 on the right look like oil to me and the middle 2 look like watered down oil. I'm guessing the 2nd from the left is probably stuck? Guess the next thing I'll pull is the cover just below the header?
