It is good paint and correct color. I have never used Mac's, but the original green is pretty dark.

I bought a quart from somewhere, it looked black, I called and they said it was correct, once I painted some on a head, the Ford correct green appeared, it does indeed look black in the can.

I just did the motor from my 35 with hirsh's paint, looks really nice , dark green, does,nt loook black. Dries super quick, I brushed the heads will I had them off and sprayed the rest.

Pioneer Antique Ford Green was used on my 38. Spray cans. Looks good. Hirsch looks nice and might try that next time.

I also am painting a 39 ford truck engine. Does anyone have an actual paint code for dupont, ppg anything i can reference to for the color?

I used Hirsch Model A paint brushed on the Fairbanks-Morse in the picture. It took two coats but works great.

Also have used Snyder's rattle cans and it works well, too. The Hirsch has a higher gloss.
