They were produced in the US, not Canada. Canada made export vehicles for the British Empire, not South America. Your photo shows a Rouge built export engine for South America or Europe.

WHy is there ford script and USA on the #'s?

This is the colour I remember a local CAExxxx 1930 engine between the rust.
Same as this 1917 Canadian block
