Emergency brake question

I was going to replace my e-brake ratchet due to the teeth being worn, so I bought the only ratchet I could find that is available from the suppliers and it is unlike what I have. Can the repro be used or do I just need to return it? What year was the repro style actually used on? I ended up welding up the teeth of the worn ratchet and grinding to fit.

From what I see, you may have a '32 ratchet on your handle. The '32 handle itself is the same as Model A but the ratchet was made differently to properly mount to the '32 transmission. A '32 ratchet will also work on a Model A but the handle will wind up a little lower when installed.
