does anyone have a pic of where the e-brake cable passes through the firewall on a 1942 1/2 ton? Thanks

above is a pic of the grommet (note that it is oblong in shape) that the speedometer cable shares with the E-brake cable on my '41. when attempting to replace either cable, i found it preferrable, in my case, to drill an additional hole such that each cable had its own hole although i don't necessarily recommend it for everyone. as in my car there is only about 1" of space once the cables pass through the hole before they are blocked by a welded in structural piece of sheet metal. this necessitated an immediate 90 degree turn and that was a problem. ...so i punted, and simply drilled a second hole. i don't regret my decision at all.
and yes, it's to the left of the clutch on the what one might refer to, by someone driving the car, as the toe board. but is not visible from inside the engine bay on my car, as it's blocked by that support brace. i don't know if it's original to the car or not.
in my case i had an additional reason to drill a second hole. my task was to replace the speedometer cable. and neither end of that cable fits through that hole with the E-brake cable in it too! and removing the E-brake cable was just not an option as far as i was concerned. and just to seal that deal there were wires involved too. lots of wires for the turn signals.
