I actually called Pertronix last week and they are already designing a kit for the helmet distributor. But it probably won't come out till either January or June 2016. The guy at Pertronix said it will be the same setup as the 42-48 distributor with the lobe sensor pickup and will come in the Ignitor I and Ignitor II kit. I am waiting till then.

The reason I asked is that I have 2 helmet distributors (one in a 32 and one in a 39) that have been converted to a Pertronix trigger. They are both 12 volt, however, and the coils are original appearing rewound for 12 volts also.
A friend of mine in Auburn/Colfax area did them, then using a machine to test. They work really well. I'd never go back to points.
