Electronic Distributor

I just installed a new drop in electronic distributor with separate 40k coil and new plug wires into my 302 ford engine. I believe once I was told that you need to match the type plugs to the new distributor. What I am asking is this:

1. What brand plugs and plug number.
2. What gap. (45 to 50 ??)
3. What timing advance.

Any help would be appreciated.

These seem to work best AC Delco Rapidfire #2 gap at .045" and advance 10-12 degrees.$5.19 each at Autozone.

If it's carbureted, I'll recommend using 0.035" for the spark plug gap. The wider gaps work better with the fuel injection where the fuel mixtures are leaner.
