Has anyone had any experience with the new electric wiper such as the one Snyder offers for $260? At that price it should be a dandy! But is it?

Wow REALLY??? With all due respect, how about pricing a new original unit to compare pricing!!

I must admit I do not know your intentions when you wrote that so I do apologize upfront if I misread your comment but I gotta be honest in saying it really frustrates many of us when folks complain about lack of quality items for our hobby saying they would gladly pay more $ for better quality items yet we read what can be perceived as public slams like this. The whole Snyder organization has a "no-questions-asked, money-back" policy that if you don't like something, then send it back for a refund. The manufacturer (NuRex) has a known track record of manufacturing quality products. This is just my opinion but it seems your whole post would have been well received with just the first sentence only. To me, the last two insinuate otherwise, which I personally feel is unfair to Snyders and the manufacturer.

And, may I suggest for you (-and others) to study up the differences between the aftermarket 'boat-style' 90 degree sweep electric wipers (which some restorers have been forced to use) vs. this newly designed unit. I think after reading what the manufacturer and/or the vendors are saying on their websites and in their catalogues, you will quickly see what the differences are between the two. Factor in the R&D time along with the limited production of this type unit, and I honestly think you will see it is a $$ value if this is an item you need for your Model-A.

Whoa! I did not in any way intend to knock Snyder's or complain about the price! I actually buy all my parts from Snyder's and trust them and their return policy.

Before I actually buy it, I would call Don Snyder (who has been extremely honest and helpful in the past) and ask if he has had any problems with the item and accept his answer as gospel. My note was "on a whim" just to see if anyone had had any experience with the item.

while you are investgating, can you find out if the switch is sold separately in any capacity. The catalog says it mounts behind the dash panel and I am wondering if it can be a substitute for the original cowl light switch that mounted there.

I don't know whether or not Snyder's sell the switch separately, but you can buy one at your local NAPA (or other) parts store. I purchased one and using a small piece of metal bent a bracket that was easily mounted behind the dash that I use for a 6 to 12 volt converter.
